Frequently overlooked in the diagnosis of asthma, are the objective tests that support the clinical diagnosis of asthma; spirometry with reversibility, PEF diary, and fractional exhaled nitric oxide. While each of these tests have their merits and demerits, they play an important role in the diagnosis of asthma.
