Long term management of COPD Education

Held on Friday 9th June 2023, an interactive, 60-minute event to ensure that healthcare professional teams across West Yorkshire are aware of the ICSThub Respiratory self-management apps, and how they can be utilised and shared across West Yorkshire.

The expert panel included:

• Patrick Heaton – Medicines Optimisation Advisor & Practice Pharmacist
• Dr Simon Barry – Respiratory Consultant & National Respiratory Clinical Lead for NHS Wales

We know, by the nature of the condition, inhalers don’t tend to make a big difference to symptoms of COPD, and for this reason it’s important to start with the interventions that we know will improve a patient’s quality of life.
